Lionel Messi has taken to social media late on Saturday night, to send a message of congratulations to teammate Kylian Mbappe.
The name of hitman Mbappe has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in France’s capital once more late this evening.
This comes after the 24-year-old etched his name ever further into the fabled history books of Paris Saint-Germain.
En route to a 4-2 downing of Nantes at the Parc des Princes, Mbappe rounded out the evening’s scoring.
After being picked out by Timothee Pembele in the visitors’ penalty area, the French international swivelled, before directing a pinpoint finish into the far bottom corner.
And, in the process, Mbappe made history.

And one individual who was quick to congratulate Mbappe on what marks a truly staggering achievement is teammate and partner in crime, Lionel Messi.
Taking to his official Instagram account post-match, seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi, who also found the net against Nantes, unveiled a photo of the pair, accompanied by the caption:
‘Congratulations @k.mbappe for the record!!’
