The competition’s showpiece saw France and Argentina clash for the biggest prize in football.
The game was one of the best finals in recent memory, with both Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe starring.
Mbappe scored a late hat-trick to keep his side in the game until penalties but ultimately Messi and co. came out on top.
Messi and Mbappe have since returned to PSG and some have speculated that the pair’s relationship has soured post-World Cup.
However, recent comments from Lionel Messi suggest that is not the case.
Argentine outlet Ole asked Messi if he has discussed the final from Qatar with Mbappe, to which he replied: “Yes, we talked about the game, the celebrations how people had lived in Argentina in those days that I had been on vacation and the festivities we had. And nothing, nothing more, but good, really good.”
