Match report
A hard-fought 90 minutes at Anfield on Saturday night ultimately culminated in Liverpool being dealt yet another devastating defeat.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
Fresh off a morale-boosting 3-0 downing of Eredivisie giants Ajax in the Champions League in midweek, the Reds turned their attentions back towards matters in the Premier League, in a meeting with relegation-battling Leeds United.
Liverpool headed into proceedings desperate for all three points, after slipping yet further off the pace atop England’s top-flight owing to a shock defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest last time out.
When all was said and done, though, the woes of the day’s hosts only continued to worsen, owing to another heartbreaking loss.
It was visitors Leeds who opened the game’s scoring inside five minutes, when Rodrigo Moreno took full advantage of a mistake on the part of Joe Gomez:

Just when it appeared as though the spoils were set to be shared on Merseyside, though, Leeds, at the very last, struck a fatal blow.
This came as a Patrick Bamford touch inside the Liverpool penalty area was latched onto by Whites starlet Crysencio Summerville, who proceeded to direct a deft finish beyond the clutches of Alisson and into the far bottom corner:

And this is how things remained through the final whistle, on a day that will live long in the memory for both Liverpool and Leeds, for altogether contrasting reasons.

This Fabinho decline has to be studied, how the hell has he gone from one of the best CDM’s to being so average.

Darwin Nunez is such a confusing player to watch. Looks dreadful if he ever gets time to think. Would drive me mad if he played for Arsenal.

Van Dijk’s record was the only thing I was holding onto this season.
