Rumoured Liverpool target Micky Van de Ven has admitted that he would like to move away from current club Wolfsburg this summer, with a move to the English top flight top of his list should he get the choice.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have largely focussed on midfield so far this transfer window as they look to rebuild their squad, having already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and having spoken to the agents of both Manu Kone and Kephren Thuram about potential moves to Anfield.

But beyond midfield there is also the desire to add another defender, preferably a left-footed option. To that end, they have been linked with Van de Ven, who was bought to Wolfsburg by now-Liverpool Sporting Director Jörg Schmadtke in 2021 and could follow the man to Merseyside.
Captain of the Dutch U21 side, Van de Ven appeared 33 times for Wolfsburg last season, helping them finish 8th, though they agonisingly missed out on European football by a single point.
Now, he has revealed that he would like to seek pastures new if interest was there, with the 22-year-old interested in a new challenge next season and handing Liverpool a potential transfer boost in the process.
“If I have the chance to leave, I would like to do it”, he told EPSN NL.
Of course, I feel very comfortable in Wolfsburg. So I don’t mind playing another year in Wolfsburg”, the defender added.
Having only been linked to Liverpool so far this summer, a deal could be there to be done given Schmadtke’s previous relations with the club, and it may prove a savvy signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
