The latest Premier League gameweek drew to a close on Monday evening.
The final match would see Crystal Palace play host to Manchester City. City headed into the tie still top of the Premier League table, but only three points above 2nd place Liverpool, who have a game in hand on the Sky Blues.
So, if City were to have lost to Palace and Liverpool win their game in hand – which is against Arsenal on Wednesday – they would have gone level on points with Man City and top of the table on goal difference.
Unfortunately for Liverpool fans, City did not lose to Patrick Vieira’s side. However, despite having over 70 per cent of the possession and the majority of the shots, City were unable to break the deadlock.
The biggest chance of the game came 70 minutes in when Jack Grealish played a low ball across the Palace box. Bernardo Silva got a touch but was somehow unable to direct it goalward:
WHAT A MISS!
