Liverpool have, this weekend, been afforded a timely double boost on the personnel front.
This, of course, comes amid the Reds’ ongoing preparatory efforts for the new Premier League campaign.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops are set to kick their 2023/24 season into gear next weekend, in a highly-anticipated showdown with Chelsea.
After being forced to contend with a number of fitness concerns across the summer to date, all associated with Liverpool, in turn, will no doubt be thrilled to hear of the club’s ranks bound for Stamford Bridge being handed a boost.
This comes amid confirmation that not one, but two members of the Merseyside giants’ squad have returned to first-team training.
The players in question? Thiago Alcantara, and Stefan Bajcetic.
The former has been sidelined since April with a hip problem, whilst youngster Bajcetic has not taken to the pitch since March as a result of an adductor issue.
This weekend, though, the midfield duo were spotted back in the thick of things at Liverpool’s Kirkby training ground.
