Luke Shaw is set to start for England in tonight’s Euro 2024 final against Spain, according to reports.
The Manchester United defender has not started a game of any description for 148 days due to a hamstring problem that delayed his participation in Germany. But, having come on as a substitute as England progressed past Switzerland and the Netherlands in the previous two games, he will reportedly replace Kieran Trippier against Spain.
Shaw will start at left wing-back, on the opposite flank to Bukayo Saka and just in front of Marc Guehi, John Stones and Kyle Walker.

It is a bold call from manager Gareth Southgate – and arguably a little harsh on Trippier who has started all six England games at the tournament so far. Southgate was expected to name the same side that saw off the Dutch in Dortmund on Wednesday night but has instead rolled the dice.
Shaw played in the final of Euro 2020 three years ago, putting England ahead inside two minutes before Italy hit back to win the trophy on a penalty shootout.
