Christopher Vivell will join them and take up that role at the club.
The German director had been with RB Leipzig since 2020 and has been responsible for transfers and scouting.
Previously, he was at RB Salzburg where he was responsible for signing Erling Haaland.
The Blues will be delighted to have finally captured an experienced technical director who has a strong track record.
