UEFA have, on Sunday evening, unveiled the awards for the standout performers in this season’s edition of the Champions League.

And it should come as little surprise to hear that a host of members of Manchester City’s triumphant squad have seen their efforts aptly rewarded.

Pep Guardiola’s troops, of course, carved their names into the history books just shy of 24 hours ago.

This came as a 1-0 showpiece downing of Italian giants Inter Milan proved enough to guide the Sky Blues to both a first-ever Champions League title, and a remarkable treble.

So, which members of City’s ranks have today seen their efforts recognised by UEFA, European football’s governing body?

Well, first up comes midfielder Rodri.

And the former Atletico Madrid standout is joined in the Team of the Season by no fewer than five more members of Guardiola’s squad, in the form of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and competition top scorer Erling Haaland.

Elsewhere, Inter’s surprise journey to the final sees the Nerazzurri rewarded by way of two inclusions, namely Alessandro Bastoni, and Federico Dimarco.

And rounding out the XI are a pair of Real Madrid stars – Thibaut Courtois, and Vinicius Jr.

Last but not least when it comes to individual accolades on Sunday evening, UEFA have too unveiled the Champions League Young Player of the Season.

This prize goes to Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, after the Georgian racked up two goals and four assists in his first campaign in European football’s premiere club competition.
