Premier League champions Manchester City have, this weekend, issued a response to their counterparts at both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, over the respective clubs’ advances for Bernardo Silva.
The name of versatile midfielder Silva, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the blue half of Manchester for several weeks now.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that two of the continent’s heavyweights had set their sights firmly on the signature of the Portuguese international.
Silva is fresh off another stellar individual season, which saw his relentless efforts across 55 appearances prove central to City’s eventual treble.

The aforementioned Barcelona, and PSG, have therefore identified the 29-year-old as the ideal addition to their respective squads.
Silva himself, meanwhile, is understood to be keen on the prospect of reuniting with ex-Sky Blues teammate Ilkay Gundogan in La Liga.
This comes amid claims that City have made crystal clear their stance on Silva’s potential exit.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Understand Manchester City have told PSG and Barcelona that they have NO intention to negotiate at any condition for Bernardo Silva.’
Not only that, but it is added that Silva will soon be offered a new contract to extend his stay in Manchester.
