Man United 24/25 kit: New home shirt design, cost and how to buy

There was a link to the past when United launched their new home kit this morning

Manchester United

Premier League giants Manchester United have released their new Adidas home shirt as part of the club’s 2024/25 kit.

Technology company Snapdragon features prominently as sponsors of the shirt, which has gone on sale via the club’s website and megastore this morning.

The shirt takes inspiration from that worn by the Busby Babes in 1952 and is designed to reflect a different shade of red depending on the light.

Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at Adidas, said: “The colour red is consistently fundamental to the club’s DNA. There have been many different expressions of it over the years and, for 2024/25, we wanted to do something a bit different.

“We’ve drawn inspiration from a little-known shirt from the 1952 tour, which is a fantastic early example of creative design in matchwear and was worn by some of the club’s most legendary players.

“Its colour-shifting appearance was a big influence in this season’s modern expression of the home kit, designed to capture attention from all angles on pitch.”

Man United shirt numbers: Rashford most popular

As part of the launch, United have revealed which players were the most popular on the back of fans’ shirts in 2022/23.

Striker Marcus Rashford was the most requested name, followed by winger Alejandro Garnacho and playmaker Bruno Fernandes.

An England trio dominated from United’s Women’s Super League team. Ella Toone was the most popular, followed by the now departed Mary Earps and Maya Le Tissier.

How to buy Man United 24/25 kit and how much does it cost?

The ‘authentic’ home shirt is priced at £110-£120 for adults and the regular version at £80-£85.

Kids versions are available from £55.
