An up-and-coming member of the first-team setup at Premier League giants Manchester United has, on Saturday, admitted to growing frustration over his role at the club.

The player in question? Anthony Elanga.

Wide-man Elanga, all told, has endured something of a hit-and-miss campaign to date at Old Trafford.

After racking up a none-too-shabby 14 league starts last season, in the process securing a reputation as a potential star in the making, the 20-year-old has since followed up with just five more appearances from the off this time round.

Not only that, but the most recent came all the way back in November, prior to the World Cup break.

This of course comes as Elanga is forced to battle it out for minutes with big-money summer arrival Antony.

And Elanga was not shy in admitting that his situation at Old Trafford has developed into a ‘frustrating’ one, with playing time ‘important’ at such a crucial juncture in his fledgling career.

The Swede, though, is ready to ‘train hard’ over the months to come, as per the advice of boss Erik ten Hag, before ‘talking to the club’ about his situation come the summer.
