Manchester City have become the first club to make a formal offer for Croatian wonderkid defender Luka Vuskovic amid interest from around Europe’s elite clubs, it has been reported.

Vuskovic, who is only 16-years-old, is already featuring in the heart of defence for boyhood club Hajduk Split, and has scored 6 times in 13 appearances this season.

A right-footed defender, he stands at 6ft3 inches tall and has caught the eye for his ability to play with the ball at his feet as well as his aerial prowess this season.

And this has attracted the attention of plenty of Europe’s top clubs, with AC Milan and Real Madrid among those interested on the continent, while Chelsea and Manchester United are among the English sides thought to be keen on his signature.

It is Pep Guardiola and Manchester City who have made the first move, however, with the Athletic reporting that they have tabled a £10.5m bid for the talent as they look to lure him to the Etihad in the coming months.

It is yet to be either accepted or rejected, giving other clubs a chance to match it, they add.

Double for Croatia?

Though there is no release clause, it is believed that it would cost around 100m euros to sign him this summer, which could in turn free Aymeric Laporte to leave the Etihad this summer.
