Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb will reportedly miss an extended period at the start of the season after fracturing his leg.

Norway international Bobb impressed during City’s Community Shield win over Manchester United last week, providing the assist for Bernardo Silva’s equaliser.

The 21-year-old looked set for an increased role in Pep Guardiola’s side following Julian Alvarez’s move to Atletico Madrid.

Sky Sports say the extent of Bobb’s injury is not yet clear but his availability for City’s Premier League opener against Chelsea on Sunday appears unlikely.

Bobb played 14 Premier League games last term, scoring once in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Manchester City

He signed a five-year deal with the champions in February.
