Manchester City Team News

  • Out: N/A
  • Doubt: Nathan Aké

After securing passage to their second Champions League final in club history in a 4-0 route of Spanish juggernaut Real Madrid, Manchester City looks to tackle a weekend clash with foundering English giants Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium and take one more step to a 2022-23 treble.

With a four-point lead over Arsenal and a match-in-hand advantage ahead of Mikel Arteta’s young Gunners, three points on Sunday, even if Arsenal find the same result of their own, would guarantee Guardiola’s fifth league title in six seasons at the helm.

Given the fact that City has three weeks until the Istanbul final against Inter Milan, Guardiola is likely to avoid massive changes across the matchday XI despite Dutch international defender Nathan Aké the only question mark surrounding the teamsheet due to an ongoing thigh issue. It is likely that Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez could come into the team here, but the core of the team should remain unchanged.
