Manchester United have announced the signing of Lille defender Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils, keeping him at Old Trafford until 2029.
Man Utd fended off interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, who were all unwilling to meet Lille’s asking price.
The total fee for the defender could exceed £55million if bonuses and added fees are met.
Yoro will reportedly earn north of £100,000, a substantial increase on his previous deal in France.
The move was led by new Man Utd sporting director Dan Ashworth.

He said: “Leny Yoro is one of the most exciting young defenders in world football.
“Having had such an excellent start to his career we are excited to support him in reaching his immense potential here at Manchester United.”
Yoro was a regular starter for his club last season, scoring twice in over 30 Ligue 1 appearances.
He is regarded as one of the brightest talents on the continent and head coach Erik ten Hag was determined to bring him on board in place of the departed Raphael Varane.
Yoro himself was delighted at the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
He said: “I know about history of young players at Man United and feel it can be the perfect place to reach my potential and achieve my ambitions.
“Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop as part of this exciting project, showing a lot of care for me and my family.
“It’s incredible honour to sign for club of Man Utd stature.”
Yoro will join the club on their pre-season tour as they gear up for the new Premier League season.
They will travel to the US, where they will face rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.
