New signing Rasmus Hojlund is yet to make his debut for the Red Devils as he joined with a back injury he is yet to recover from.

Now, Manchester United have confirmed Mason Mount’s absence for two matches due to injury.

The midfielder, who signed in the summer from Chelsea for £65m, has started both of his new club’s Premier League matches so far but picked up the issue in the defeat to Tottenham.

A statement read: “Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

“The small complaint is expected to keep Mount out until the international break next month.”

Mount has not been in great form during his first couple of games for Man United, so this small break may be good for him and take some of the pressure off him as United look to find their feet.
