Kim Min Jae’s representatives have denied all rumours that a deal for the centre-back has been agreed between Napoli and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
The Korean defender has impressed as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly this season, and arrived from Fenerbahce having previously caught the eye of Manchester United and Tottenham.
He has made 33 appearances in Serie A, helping Napoli to a first title win in 30 years, and has already at least doubled his value in the transfer market.

And recent reports claimed that Manchester United were ‘closing in on [a] deal’ for the defender, amid claims that a £45m release clause could be activated early in the summer transfer window.
However, representatives of the Korean defender have denied these rumours, admitting that though there has been longstanding interest, nothing has been agreed.
“It’s not true that a deal is closed with Manchester United”, they told Star News Korea.
Kim is not the only Napoli player that United could look to poach this summer, with reports that they are also keen on a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this summer.
However, any potential deal for free-scoring attacker was debunked by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
‘I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer – no way!’ he told Cinque Minuti earlier in May after he scored 23 times en route to Serie A success.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are looking to add at least one central midfielder this summer as well as potentially a right-back should the funds become available.
