Manchester United had a fairly active summer transfer window that saw them sign five players.
Erik ten Hag sought the services of former player Antony during the summer, who has signed from Ajax for a mammoth fee.
Antony has had a bright start to his Premier League career, scoring three in three for United. Said tally has put the Brazilian in record books as the first Red Devil to score in each of his first three league matches for Manchester United.
Now, speaking after his impressive start to life in England, the South American has been discussing how Cristiano Ronaldo has been helping him:
“Since I arrived here, Cristiano Ronaldo has really helped me feel at ease; he speaks to me a lot, on matchdays as well,” Antony said.
“He always tells me to be calm and confident, he’s achieved so much in football and I learn from him every day. I’m really grateful to have such an experienced person teaching us young players every day.” Asked how Ronaldo has impressed him the most so far, Antony continued: “His mentality, it’s so strong. He’s very intelligent. This mentality of his, looking to the next day, everything still to play for, it’s what I’m trying to take on board and keep for the rest of my life.”
