Fulham head coach Marco Silva has, late on Sunday, confirmed a concerning double blow for the Cottagers on the personnel front.
Silva of course guided his side back into action earlier this afternoon.
Fresh off a hard-fought defeat at Aston Villa last time out, Fulham set their sights on a swift bounce-back result, by way of a daunting showdown with Premier League champions Manchester City.
When all was said and done, however, it came as little surprise when it was the day’s visitors who emerged on the right side of the result, thanking goals on the part of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez for an eventual 2-1 win.

As alluded to above, though, Fulham’s woes on Sunday were not confined solely to the game’s outcome.
In addition, the capital outfit were dealt not one, but two injury blows, as captain Tim Ream and midfielder Andreas Pereira were both forced into premature departures from the action.
And the Portuguese tactician went on to confirm that both Ream and Pereira have been taken to hospital, with the former expected to sit out the remainder of the campaign with a broken arm:
‘This is clearly the worst thing of the afternoon,’ Silva began. ‘It looked clear Tim Ream will not play for us this season, broken his arm, and let’s hope Andreas is not so serious but it looks serious. They’re both in hospital and the medical staff will assess them.’
