Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has, late on Thursday, set alarm bells firmly ringing across the club’s fanbase.
Rashford, and United were of course back in action a short time ago.
After being held to a 2-2 stalemate at the Camp Nou a week ago today, the Red Devils welcomed La Liga table-toppers Barcelona to Old Trafford, eyeing a spot in the Last-16 of the Europa League.
And, when all was said and done in Manchester, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts went on to manage.
This came as 2nd-half goals on the part of Fred and Antony cancelled out Robert Lewandowski’s early spot-kick, en route to a 2-1 United triumph.
It’s like a pinball machine in there!!

As alluded to above, though, amid an otherwise stellar night’s work for Erik ten Hag’s troops, one sour note was also forthcoming on the personnel front.
Those of a Red Devils persuasion, in turn, had since been left to sweat over the wellbeing of their side’s scintillating frontman, fresh off a remarkable 20 direct goal contributions across his last 18 appearances.
And, if the latest social media activity on the part of Rashford himself is anything to go by, then it would appear that such fears are well-founded.
Taking to his official Instagram account late on Thursday night, the 25-year-old unveiled a photo of himself, accompanied by little more than an ‘injured’ emoji.
The post, of course, comes just 72 hours out from United’s biggest fixture of the season to date, when Ten Hag and co. are primed to lock horns with Newcastle in the finale of the Carabao cup.
