Arsenal and Crystal Palace played out the final match of gameweek 2 on Monday evening.
Arsenal came away with a 1-0 win on the day after Eddie Nketiah was fouled in the Crystal Palace box and Martin Odegaard stepped up to score from 12 yards.
The Gunners – who also went down to 10 men in the match after Takehiro Tomiyasu was shown a second yellow card – were far from their best on the day but still came away with the win.
Now, Martin Odegaard has warned title rivals that he is sure Arsenal will get better with every game:
“It was difficult, we had to dig deep and fight for it,” he said.
“When you come here you have to be able to suffer, and we knew that before the game. We did that brilliantly.
