An update on the wellbeing of Chelsea star Mason Mount has been forthcoming online late on Saturday evening.
For those not aware, midfielder Mount had sparked major concern at Cobham this past Thursday.
This came upon the England international limping out of training with a thigh concern, ahead of a round of medical scans.
Mount, in turn, was labelled as an immediate doubt to feature this weekend, when Chelsea turn attentions back towards matters on the domestic front in a Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.
Two key members of Graham Potter’s squad have of course already been ruled out long-term this week, with both N’Golo Kante and Reece James facing up to extended spells on the sidelines.
The race against time is on… But we won’t give up.

In turn, word of positive news circulating regarding Mount’s concern will give rise to a collective sigh of relief across west London.
Mount is therefore expected to be ‘in contention’ to feature at Villa Park on Sunday, potentially from the off.
Some positive news for #CFC tonight at least…am told Mount had his scan as reported below and is fine. Sounds like he will be in contention to face #AVFC. https://t.co/hFmImJWTR7
