An update on the wellbeing of Newcastle United star Miguel Almiron has been forthcoming late on Friday evening.
For those not aware, the Newcastle faithful were rocked a short time ago.
This came upon word spreading online that wide-man Almiron – who has of course played a starring role on Tyneside thus far this season – had picked up a last-minute injury, ahead of the club’s meeting with Nottingham Forest.
Eddie Howe’s troops are primed to return to action on Friday night, making the trip to the City Ground to take on Forest in the weekend’s Premier League curtain-raiser.

Just hours out from proceedings being kicked into gear, however, the Magpies’ hopes were dented, by way of news regarding Almiron’s fitness.
This came upon Paraguay head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto confirming that his key winger had not been called up for international duty for the weeks ahead.
“Miguel Almiron was injured yesterday and will be out for three weeks and it is not necessary for him to come.
“We received the report from his club (Newcastle United) and we saw the video of the injury.”
