Napoli play host to struggling Eintracht Frankfurt knowing that they just need to avoid losing by two goals in Naples to be sure of a place in the last 8 of the Champions League.

Luciano Spaletti’s side eased through the first leg in Germany, coming away with a 2-0 win, and have moved a massive 18 points clear in Serie A since that result.

Having lost just once in the last five games, and with two of the most exciting talents in World football in their frontline, Napoli are a side to be feared by anyone in Europe’s elite competition and could well be an outside bet to win the entire competition.

To do so, they will have to come through against a Frankfurt side that have not won in the three games since their first leg defeat, and will be missing their star striker Randal Kolo-Muani for the return clash.

Here’s how Napoli are shaping up, and how we expect the Italians to line up for the tie.

Predicted XI

Team News

Napoli largely have the same side that won the first leg in Germany available to them, although Luciano Spalleti may choose to leave out Mario Rui, who is suffering from a muscle strain and is touch and go for the clash in Naples.

Meanwhile, Giacamo Raspadori is also sidelined until the end of the month, somewhat limiting the attacking options available to the Napoli boss.

Matteo Politano could well be an option on the right flank to replace Hirving Lozano, but the Mexican tends to be the first choice for Spaletti and is likely to be offered the chance to impress once more.
