Tottenham loanee Harry Winks has slammed his parent club, claiming that even Antonio Conte hasn’t bothered to contact him during his temporary spell at Sampdoria.
The midfielder was deemed not in the Italian manager’s plans ahead of the 2022/23 season, despite making 24 appearances since Conte arrived in north London.
As a result, he left English shores to join Italian side Sampdoria on loan. Though an ankle injury hampered the early part of the season, he has since made nine Serie A appearances, though he is yet to taste his first victory for his new side as they look certain to drop out of the top flight at the end of the season.

Despite this, the England international was full of praise for the Serie A outfit, claiming that they have ‘always’ supported him, before pointing out the difference between that and the conduct of his parent club/
“I feel indebted to Sampdoria, if I had been available from the start I would have given my all”, Winks began. “The club has always supported me, it was important for my ankle to fully heal. No one from Spurs has contacted me, not even the coach.”
Winks could be handed a lifeline in north London this summer, with Conte seemingly certain to leave the club at the end of the season and a new manager taking the reins.
