Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest are preparing a formal proposal for a key member of the midfield setup at Leicester City, according to reports.
The player in question? Wilfred Ndidi.
Nigerian international Ndidi, of course, is one of few high-profile members of the first-team ranks not to have secured a move away from Leicester, on the back of the club’s relegation to The Championship.
To this point in the summer, the likes of James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans have all moved on to pastures new.
Ndidi, previously tipped for a move to a host of English football’s heavyweights, though, has remained at the King Power Stadium, featuring from the off in four of the Foxes’ five outings across all competitions to this point in the campaign.
In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of concern for the Leicester faithful to hear of an imminent bid being readied for the club’s midfield lynchpin.
‘Nottingham Forest [are] set to bid for Wilfred Ndidi, proposal expected to be submitted soon for Nigerian DM as he’s top target.’
Not only that, but the personal terms of a contract have already been agreed upon between the parties, with Forest therefore ready to ‘push’ to get a deal over the line ahead of this week’s transfer deadline.
