Updates on the wellbeing of two key members of Manchester United’s squad have been forthcoming on Friday evening.
Erik ten Hag’s troops, of course, are set to return to action on Saturday afternoon.
Fresh off a swift return to winning ways at the expense of Brentford in midweek, the Red Devils will welcome relegation-battling Everton to Old Trafford, eyeing a 2nd victory on the spin.
Such efforts on United’s part, though, are set to come without the contributions of one key member of the club’s backline.
Speaking to the media on Friday evening, Erik ten Hag was drawn on Luke Shaw’s availability, after the England international limped out of the midweek action in Manchester owing to what appeared to be a muscular issue.
And Shaw will, in turn, miss out on Saturday:

There was altogether more positive news forthcoming, however, regarding the wellbeing of another member of the Reds’ ranks.
The player in question? Christian Eriksen.
Midfielder Eriksen, of course, has been sidelined since late January, after suffering a serious ankle injury during United’s FA Cup victory over Reading.
His manager, though, today confirmed that the former Tottenham and Inter Milan man is set to mark his return to matchday duties tomorrow afternoon:
“The good news is Eriksen is back in training and he will be in the squad.”
