La Gazetta dello Sport report that Pogba could be sidelined until 2023 with a knee injury.
Juventus wanted him to undergo surgery but that would see him sidelined for over two months.
Therefore, he is undergoing further tests in Turin to determine which route would be the quickest.
The 29-year-old played a key role in helping Les Blues become the world champions in 2018, but he is now unlikely to be there for the defence of their title.
He could travel to France in the coming days to visit a trusted doctor to discuss alternative procedures.
Meanwhile, the Bianconeri are eyeing a potential move for PSG’s Leandro Paredes.
Following the departure of Aaron Ramsey and Arthur also set to leave, Juve have made contact with the Aregtine’s camp.
PSG are open to letting him leave for €20 million.
