Manchester City ended their Premier League campaign as champions with a 1-0 loss to Brentford.
They will now turn their attention towards their remaining two games of the season.
First up is an FA Cup final with Manchester United on June 3.
Ahead of that game, Pep Guardiola has revealed that Man City have quite a lot of their top stars suffering with niggles.
This includes Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Ruben Dias:
“We have four or five players with niggles, not big injuries, but they are injuries. The guys who didn’t play didn’t here were really, really exhausted the day before and mentally, they were completely drained. The guys who are in Manchester – Ruben didn’t train for 10 days, Jack Grealish, as well,” Pep said.
“Phil is in incredible form, Riyad as well, Cole was so active in many things. To play the finals we have to play the guys who feel better. Not because they played a lot of minutes. That’s why it was good to play with these guys and rest the other ones and hopefully the other ones can recover.”
The City fans will be praying that these injury concerns are resolved on June 10 when their side face Inter Milan in the Champions League final.
