Pep Guardiola has revealed that defender Nathan Ake should be fit for the clash with West Ham on Wednesday night, but that question marks remain over star man Kevin de Bruyne after he missed their most recent victory over Fulham with a knock.
De Bruyne found the back of the net twice last against Arsenal, before being taken off ten minutes from time to a standing ovation at the Etihad, but missed out on the 2-1 win at Craven Cottage amid reports of being ‘not fully fit’.
Ake, meanwhile, has been sidelined since the Champions League win over Bayern Munich, being taken off just after the hour mark with a hamstring injury. He has since missed the last three games, but City are hopeful that he will make his return as early as Wednesday evening.

“Nathan [Ake] trained with us yesterday he feels good”, Guardiola revealed. Kevin [De Bruyne] started to move but didn’t train with the team. We have training in a few hours, we will see how they feel.”
Currently top of the Premier League by a point and with a game in hand on second-placed Arsenal, Manchester City are eyeing a historic treble in the next month.
They face Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League, looking to win their first ever major European trophy, while they also have a tricky Premier League run in with the likes of Brighton and Brentford to come and they will face Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
