Manchester City head into the game looking to gain some much-needed ground on Arsenal.
The Sky Blues lost to Manchester United over the weekend, whilst the Gunners saw off Spurs, meaning Mikel Arteta’s side are now eight points clear atop of the Premier League.
As a result, Manchester City need a win on Thursday if they are to keep their title hopes alive.
Ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola spoke to the press on Wednesday and discussed the eight-point gap: “It’s better, you can drop points. If you are behind you cannot drop points.
“Pressure is next game, we cannot think about it other to win the next game. After the conditions dictate, if they are good in all departments they will be there. They are better than us so far. Many games to play. Don’t think about it, catch Liverpool who were infront in the last years, just think the next game and see what happens. We have been in this position many times in the past.”
Pep then provided an update on Kevin De Bruyne, who missed training earlier this week but is now back: ”Has a personal issue. Didn’t train. He’s back.”
