A heartwarming photo of Luton Town star Tom Lockyer has come to the fore late on Saturday.
For those who may have missed it, concern surrounding the wellbeing of defender Lockyer spread across English football earlier this evening.
This came as Luton’s Championship playoff final showdown with Coventry City, early on, was brought to a halt.
Backtracking towards his own goal, Lockyer, all of a sudden, dropped to the turf, seemingly unable to return to his feet before losing consciousness:

Lockyer, from here, was stretchered from the field of play, as fans across the UK and beyond awaited an update on his wellbeing with bated breath.
Luton, for their part, later released a statement, confirming that the club’s defensive stalwart had been transported to hospital for further tests.
We are able to report that after collapsing on the pitch, Tom Lockyer has been taken to hospital for further tests.
He is responsive and talking to his family, who are with him.

This comes with a brilliant photo of Lockyer celebrating his club’s return to the top-flight of English football having been posted to social media a short time ago.
Responding to Luton’s promotion post on Twitter, the Welshman’s father unveiled a picture of Lockyer in his hospital bed, looking in joyous mood alongside family and friends:
‘Tom’s Dad here. Tom is ok. Very happy but so sad he can’t be there with his team mates. Here is the moment…….’
