Porto star Diogo Costa has, on Sunday, spoken out amid ongoing speculation linking him with a move to England with Manchester United.
The name of shot-stopper Costa, of course, has reemerged front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Manchester over the course of the last 24 hours.
This comes after David de Gea’s position between the posts at Old Trafford came under scrutiny once more.
Owing to a less-than-impressive display in the FA Cup final, calls for De Gea to be replaced with a view to the new season have mounted amongst the United faithful, with Costa long tipped as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.
🚨🇪🇸 Roy Keane on De Gea: “You expect your keeper to save that [Gundogan’s 2nd goal] and he didn’t and that’s why we’re seeing these [Man City] celebrations. For Man United, they need a world class goalkeeper and he isn’t.” #MUFC pic.twitter.com/bTurBeqiIY

Speaking to the media on the back of Porto’s Portuguese Cup final downing of Braga on Sunday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of a potential move to Old Trafford was put to Costa himself.
The 23-year-old’s ensuing response, however, is unlikely to inspire much confidence amongst those of a Manchester United persuasion.
