Everton defender Ben Godfrey has signed for Serie A side Atalanta for around £10m.
Godfrey joined the Toffees from Norwich for £25m in 2020 but was going into the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.

The 26-year-old – who won two England caps in 2021 – reportedly saw a move to the Italian club fall through in the January transfer but has now completed a switch to join last season’s Europa League winners.
French club Lyon had made a £12.7m bid for Godfrey, who made 93 Everton appearances, including 16 last season.
“Everyone at Everton thanks Ben for his service to the club and wishes him all the best for the future,” an Everton statement said.
The Toffees are seeking to sell players in order to avoid to comply with Premier League profit and sustainability regulations before the end of June.
