French giants Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of appointing a new head coach, according to reports.
The subject of the bench at the Parc des Princes, of course, has reemerged as a major talking point across the European media over the course of the last fortnight.
This comes after widespread reports confirmed that the decision had been made for PSG to part ways with current boss Christophe Galtier.
Despite leading the capital giants to another Ligue 1 crown, Galtier’s failures on the continent ultimately proved too much for the ruthless board in Paris to overlook.
A whole host of tacticians, in turn, have since been tipped to take the Frenchman’s place.
As recently as this week, it looked as though Julian Nagelsmann was in line to beat out the competition, only for a last-minute difference of opinion to culminate in the ex-Bayern Munich chief walking away from negotiations.

And, if the latest word doing the rounds on Sunday evening is anything to go by, then this very plan looks set to bear imminent fruit.
As confirmed by French outlet L’Equipe, PSG are in advanced talks to appoint Luis Enrique as their new manager.
The one-time Barcelona tactician – who most recently took charge of Spain – is already understood to have agreed to the terms of a contract in Paris.
A deal, in turn, looks as good as complete, with just the details of ‘staff and clauses’ to clarify before an official announcement is forthcoming.
