AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has, on Saturday evening, provided an insight into the current wellbeing of star attacker Rafael Leao.
For those who may have missed it, wide-man Leao set pulses racing across the Milan fanbase earlier this afternoon.
This came upon the Portuguese international limping out of the Rossoneri’s crunch Serie A showdown with Lazio, with just ten minutes on the clock.
With Milan just four days out from the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final clash with fierce rivals Inter, concern surrounding Leao’s availability, in turn, spread like wildfire.
Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s crucial 2-0 victory on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the reigning Serie A Player of the Year’s fitness was put to boss Pioli.

And, in a boost for all on the red half of the Milanese divide, the club’s boss was keen to play down the severity of the situation.
“Leao seemed serene and calm to me. He had a feeling of fatigue, it shouldn’t be anything serious. Muscle issues are always assessed the next day.”
