The details of Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos’ loan move away from the club have been revealed on Thursday evening.
The name of Brazilian youth international Santos, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in west London across the day to date.
This comes with the January addition to Graham Potter’s squad having been granted a swift loan exit.
After having their attentions piqued by Santos’ stellar form with boyhood club Vasco da Gama, the Blues’ big-spending new owners forked out a not-inconsiderable £18million to bring him to the club following the turn of the year.
Evidently of the opinion that the midfielder is not yet of the standard required to feature on a regular basis in the Premier League, though, he has today been moved on.
As confirmed in an official statement across Chelsea’s social media platforms and official website, Santos has linked back up with Vasco da Gama, on loan.

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into as much has since been forthcoming, too.
Despite prior reports, Santos’ move back to Brazil will not last a full year, but instead only through the summer, when the powers that be at Chelsea intend to gradually introduce the starlet to the club’s senior setup.
This comes after Palmeiras refused to agree to such terms, before ultimately pulling the plug on negotiations for Santos.
Vasco, meanwhile, will not be required to pay any of their gifted academy product’s salary over the coming months.
