A fresh insight into the future of Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has been forthcoming late on Saturday.
The subject of tactician Potter’s position on the bench at Stamford Bridge, of course, has emerged as a major talking point once more over the course of the last couple of hours.
This comes after his Chelsea side were condemned to yet another alarming defeat.
After being put to the sword by a goal to nil at Borussia Dortmund in midweek, a home meeting with Premier League relegation battlers Southampton culminated in the same result, owing to a moment of brilliance on the part of Saints midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
James Ward-Prowse has now scored 17 Premier League freekicks, 1 behind equalling David Beckham’s record of 18.

This, all told, stretched Chelsea’s staggering run of poor form to just one win in 15.
Remaining in the depths of mid-table despite record spending during the the January transfer window, it has therefore come as little surprise to see calls for Graham Potter’s head begin to mount across Chelsea’s fanbase.
This comes with word having arrived by way of the reliable Matt Law a short time ago that the stance of the powers that be in west London regarding the club’s struggling head coach has not changed.
Told no change in Chelsea board’s position on Graham Potter. They are still backing him.
