A fresh insight into the future of in-demand West Ham United star Declan Rice has been provided on Thursday evening.

The subject of Rice’s future, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media once more over the course of the day to date.

This comes amid murmurs that Manchester City could soon go all-out in their bid to take the England international to The Etihad.

After Ilkay Gundogan came to the decision to take his talents to Barcelona, shock reports have also begun to point towards Bernardo Silva swapping Manchester for the riches of Saudi Arabia.

Pep Guardiola and co, as a result, will be desperate for midfield reinforcements with a view to next season, with Rice understood to sit right at the top of the Sky Blues’ wishlist.

What, then, does this mean for Arsenal?

Man City, though, boast a significant financial edge over their Premier League title rivals.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday evening is anything to go by, however, then Arsenal faithful need not fret.

This comes amid claims that Rice himself remains fully intent on an Emirates switch.

As per Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, West Ham’s talisman favours a move to north London over Manchester owing both to his guaranteed starting spot in Arteta’s midfield, and keenness to remain in England’s capital.

Not only that, but Rice is said to be a huge fan of the footballing philosophy in place at Arsenal, with the ‘expectation’ therefore that the Gunners, in the end, will beat out the competition to strike a deal in excess of £100 million for the former Chelsea youth.
