Chelsea’s nightmare season went from bad to worse on the weekend as not only did they lose to Tottenham, but they have also lost Thiago Silva to injury.
The Blues were beaten 2-0 by their bitter rivals in north London with both goals coming after the withdrawal of the Brazilian defender.
This morning it has been revealed that the 38-year-old’s injury is even worse than originally feared and he is now facing many weeks on the sidelines.

Chelsea have confirmed that Thiago Silva has suffered knee ligament damage.
According to the Evening Standard, this will keep him out for up to six weeks.
Graham Potter suffers yet another blow as he loses his best defender for a key run of games.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana, Benoît Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah are the options he has to replace the central defender.
