Pochettino’s stint with his new Chelsea players began on Monday.
Pochettino arrived at Cobham on Monday, alongside his assistant and head of conditioning Jesus Perez.
Since his arrival, Chelsea have focused on both fitness and building a warm culture at the club, with the former Tottenham boss holding a traditional Argentine barbecue on Monday evening, with both staff and players invited.
Now, as per the Evening Standard, Pochettino has already been working his new players very hard.
One source told the ES: “They have been really worked, it has been a harder first week than the whole last pre-season.
“They will be machines, this year will be different, these boys are getting worked.”
The Blues have one of the best squads in the Premier League when it comes to player talent, but Pochettino now has the task of getting them to work together as a cohesive unit – something Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard all failed to do in 2022/23.
