Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp was left altogether frustrated with the efforts of a key member of his midfield ranks during the club’s meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion, according to reports.
The player in question? Fabinho.
The Reds, of course, were back in action a little over 24 hours ago.
In their return to action on the back of the international break, Klopp’s troops welcomed the aforementioned Brighton to Anfield, desperate for all three points amid efforts to close the gap on the Premier League’s leading sides.
When all was said and done, however, Liverpool, once more, simply failed to get the job done.
An alarming display at the defensive end opened the door for Leandro Trossard to bag a remarkable hat-trick, en route to an eventual 3-3 stalemate.
The info comes courtesy of the Liverpool Echo, who have revealed that, during the 2nd-half of action, Liverpool’s boss repeatedly felt the need to target Fabinho with loud instructions from the sideline.
After seeing his initial calls fall on deaf ears, Klopp, in turn, became so insistent that his Brazilian midfield fulcrum was ultimately left with no choice but to take on board his manager’s message.
🚨 NEW: Jurgen Klopp was unhappy at Fabinho during the second half and made his point forcibly towards the midfielder who appeared to selectively choose to ignore what was being said until the message from the boss became too loud to turn a deaf ear towards. #lfc [liverpool echo]
