A fresh insight into the future of Chelsea star Mason Mount has been forthcoming on Sunday evening.
This, of course, comes fresh off a bombshell update surrounding Manchester United’s ongoing pursuit of the England international coming to the fore late last night.
As confirmed by a host of reliable sources, the Red Devils have opted to turn their attentions away from Mount, and towards other targets, amid an ongoing pursuit of reinforcements in the middle of the park.
This comes after the transfer team at Old Trafford felt the need to pull the plug on negotiations, amid increasing frustration with the negotiation tactics of their Chelsea counterparts.

What next, then, for Mount?
It is common knowledge that the 24-year-old has his heart set on a move to Man United, with a transfer having therefore been widely considered as being in the best interest of all parties.
As much, it would appear, is out of the question.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Understand Mason Mount’s side stance remains clear: no plans to sign new deal as things stand. Man United now or free agent in 2024′.
It is also added that United’s final £55 million offer is still on the table, whilst ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is not actively pushing for Bayern Munich to bring Mount to Germany.

Tuchel, big fan but NO bid/talks with Bayern as of now.
United £55m bid still valid; won’t wait forever.
