Erling Haaland has made the most sensational start to his time at Manchester City.
The striker has already netted 20 goals in 13 appearances this season taking both the Premier League and Champions League by storm.
Man City will be hoping this is the year they can finally end their long wait for the European Cup with the addition of the 22-year-old making them look unstoppable.
However, the Norwegian’s long-term future at the Etihad will soon be up for debate when his release clause comes into effect in the summer of 2024.

Haaland’s 2024 release clause
The Athletic have this morning released a report detailing the release clause of Erling Haaland.
Firstly, the clause will kick in as of the summer of 2024 and will then start to decrease over the remainder of his five-year contract.
However, it is bad news for any other Premier League club who may be eyeing a move, as the clause is only available for clubs outside England’s top division.
Clubs interested in activating the clause at some point will also have to pay agent fees and bonuses on top.
This could then start to make a deal for Haaland very expensive and potentially rule many clubs out of a deal.

But for now, the youngster very much remains a Man City player and later today, he will be looking to add to his goal tally.
Haaland had already been tearing it up in Europe prior to his move to City with his record in the Champions League now at 28 goals in 20 appearances.
Tonight, he faces FC Copenhagen, a side City smashed 5-0 last week, and he will be more than confident of getting his name on the score sheet once again.
