A fresh update on the ongoing contract negotiations between Spanish champions Barcelona and head coach Xavi Hernandez has been provided on Thursday.
For those not aware, the subject of Xavi’s future has long marked a major talking point in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes with the former Blaugrana midfielder’s current deal due to expire in the summer of 2024.
Despite having romped to the La Liga title in his first full season in the dugout last time out, many of a Barca persuasion remain on the fence when it comes to Xavi’s credentials as the man to lead the club forward.
