A major update on the future of in-demand West Ham United star Declan Rice has been forthcoming late on Saturday night.
The subject of Rice’s plans beyond the summer, of course, has reemerged as a major talking point in the media across the season to date.
This comes owing to both the struggles of West Ham, and emergence of a new suitor for his services.
As confirmed by a host of reliable sources earlier this month, Premier League table-toppers Arsenal have identified Rice as their priority summer signing.
In turn, it will no doubt come as a major source of encouragement for those hopeful of the English international ultimately landing at the Emirates to hear of this evening’s fresh insight into Rice’s mindset.
As per a report from the reliable Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, the 24-year-old favours a move to Arsenal over Chelsea.
It would appear, however, that the gifted defensive midfielder has his sights set elsewhere.
Rice is understood to be extremely keen on the prospect of an Arsenal switch, owing to the prospect of working under Mikel Arteta.
As per Steinberg:
‘He has seen Arteta turn Arsenal into title contenders this season and would be confident of the Spaniard’s coaching making him a better midfielder.’
