Manchester City came from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 on Saturday to maintain their perfect start to the season.

The Sky Blues are the only PL side to have won their opening five games this campaign.

And they have done so with several injury issues. Vs West Ham, for example, Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Matteo Kovacic and Jack Grealish all missed out.

When speaking after City came back from a goal down to beat West Ham 3-1, Rodri stated that City will only get better once they have a full squad again: “I think that we started the game well, before conceding the goal we had some clear chances. It was a bit frustrating because they took the lead, but we didn’t lose our composure and we were able to turn it around.

“We have important players out and it is always difficult for the team, the positive part is that we are responding well. When we are all together we will be stronger.

“Of course we have some important players out, and that’s always difficult for the team. Evidently, we are where we are and on the positive side we are responding very well. We know that when we’re all together that we will be stronger, so we’re doing the impossible to get these results.”
