Romeo Beckham, son of England and Manchester United icon David Beckham, has today put pen to paper on his first-ever professional contract with a Premier League club.
The outfit in question? Brentford.
For those not aware, Beckham, a winger/attacking midfielder, spent the 2nd half of this past season on the books at Brentford.
After impressing the Bees’ coaching staff during a training stint late last year, the 20-year-old joined the club’s B team on loan from MLS outfit Inter Miami back in January.
All told, from here, he went on to make 15 appearances, part of the squad which lifted the Premier League Cup last month.
And such endeavours, in turn, have convinced the powers that be at the Gtech Community Stadium to extend Beckham’s terms once more.
As confirmed in an official statement across Brentford’s website and social media channels:
‘Brentford Football Club are pleased to announce the permanent signing of Romeo Beckham from Inter Miami CF on a one-year contact with a club option of an additional year.’
