Southampton Team News

  • Out: Tino Livramento, Juan Larios
  • Doubt: Carlos Alcaraz

Saints boss Rubén Sellés has been able to find a handful of results in recent weeks as the south coast outfit has finally climbed out of the bottom of the cellar as is in striking distance of moving outside of the relegation zone.

The Spanish tactician comes into a difficult Sunday fixture against Manchester United, who quickly rebounded from their catastrophic loss against Liverpool to comfortably dispatch Real Betis in the Europa League round of sixteen last night, but thankfully, only has one added fitness concern coming into the weekend program.

Both Tino Livramento and Juan Larios are laid up in dry dock and are a long way off from being in contention for a place in Sellés’ team. Argentine youngster Carlos Alcaraz is a doubt unfortunately, after just coming off scoring the match-winner against Leicester City last weekend. He should be replaced by Norwegian midfielder Mohamed Elyounoussi in operating just behind the striker.
